What is the Suzuki Method?
The Suzuki Method of music education is based on the philosophy and teaching methods developed by the Japanese violinist, pedagogue, educator and humanitarian, Dr Shinichi Suzuki.

Here at Didsbury Violin Lessons, both Rosy & Dewi were brought up as "Suzuki Children" learning from the ages of 3 and 4 with Christine Boardman of Altrincham Suzuki Group and Lucy Akehurst in Birmingham. They have always used their Suzuki background to inform their teaching, including the repertoire in fabulous Suzuki Violin School books. In 2022 Rosy finally trained to become a qualified Suzuki teacher with the BSMA, along with Jamie Dalzell too. Didsbury Suzuki Group is held 2 or 3 times each half term - usually on Sunday mornings at 10.00 in Didsbury.
