Our Founder & Director Rosy TJ Williams is a winner of the prestigious RPS Enterprise Award.
In Jan 2021, while the music industry was at near collapse, Rosy applied to the Royal Philharmonic Society, and was awarded an Enterprise Fund , in association with Harriet’s Trust. The idea was to take advantage of that time when so much performing work was cancelled, to bolster her violin teaching career and up-skill on the tech front too. Rosy is so grateful that RPS were able to financially support these goals by part-funding a year’s training with the British Suzuki Music Association, as well as some career add-ons in video production and web-building. The combination of these skills has helped Rosy build up Didsbury Violin Lessons, qualify as a L1 Suzuki Teacher, launch and deliver our Practise Portal with tailor made online practise videos for all students, and most excitingly, set up Didsbury Suzuki, launching in September 2022. “It has been such a worthwhile step in career development for me: whilst still feeling very serious about my playing work I now have a substantial private teaching base, I have gained a teaching philosophy that I love and aspire to keep forever (which hopefully rubs off on the students!) I am trained and qualified and have access to an enormous wealth of teaching knowledge & resources within the British Suzuki Music Association community and most importantly I find myself genuinely fulfilled by my teaching work. Thank you Royal Philharmonic Society and Harriet's Trust for helping make all this happen.” Rosy TJ Williams #EveryChildCan |
